The Great Egg Drop

In room 8 we have been working on getting along and working as a team. On Friday we participated in the ‘Great Egg drop’. The group worked to create something to protect the egg from breaking when dropped from 2 meters high.
We only had 30 straws and some masking tape to complete our mission, we wouldn’t have succeeded if we didn’t work together, so we learnt to listen to each others ideas and together we found the best way to protect the egg. Some groups used a lot of masking tape and straws to protect their egg, unfortunately most groups were not successful and ended up with scrambled eggs! Sarah and Vaishnavi, Alen and Shane, Jonathan and Andy and Tien and Jessie were the only groups to keep their eggs safe. We enjoyed working with our partners; room 8 is a great team.

  1. Hi Room 8, I really enjoyed reading about how you have been working on getting along. This is an important life skill. All the teachers have been doing an activity around team work......Ms Sansom
